Where we are now
We are now at Recreation Plantation, an RV resort in Central Florida, near the Villages. Due to the COVID pandemic we were not able to spend the winter in Key West. We have many of our Key West friends in the same park and look forward to good time. We’ll be here until early March.

Just Another Day in Paradise – Jan-Mar 2020
This was our seventh winter of the last nine years in Key West. We have never found a nicer place to spend the winter. I don’t think you can get any farther south in the Continental US. As we have … Continue reading

Watching the Navy’s Blue Angels, Pensacola, FL – October 2019
We always enjoy staying at Pensacola Naval Air Station. The Naval Air Station has two campgrounds, Blue Angel Campground on Perdido Bay and Oak Grove. Both are nice. Blue Angel is more rustic and away from built up areas, while … Continue reading
Pensacola – Home of Naval Aviation, March 2019
I’m afraid this title is a little misleading. Yes, Pensacola is the primary training site for Naval aviators and home of the Blue Angels, the Navy’s Demonstration Team. We had hoped to watch the team practice as their Tuesday and … Continue reading

One of our priorities whenever we are in Florida is to spend some time with our niece, Robin, and her kids, Destiny and Jeremiah. This year and last year had the added benefit that Pat’s brother and sister rented a … Continue reading

The Conch Republic, Key West 2019
I wonder how many visitors to Key West realize they are visiting an island that was once a foreign nation. According to my local friends, the US Border Patrol, in 1982, set up a roadblock and inspection point on US-1 … Continue reading

Return to Paradise, Key West 2019
Our favorite place to spend the winter is the Sigsbee Island RV Park – part of Naval Air Station Key West. We enjoy the warm weather, water activities, and the community of friends that we have made over the years. … Continue reading
The Skydiving Santas of Cocoa Beach – 2018
There are plenty of things to see and do in the Cocoa Beach area. One of my favorite Cocoa Beach Christmas traditions is the Skydiving Santas. For the third year in a row the Air Sports Parachute Team has organized … Continue reading
